Daley ran Chicago politics for 21 years. … On Feb. 14, 1970, the “Home Opener Riot” at Wrigley Field was a direct result of Daley’s handling of the Chicago Seven trial and protests. The riot during the Cubs’ opener launched surveillance firsts in sports.
